Job DescriptionThe Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role is essential in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity by assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting clinical operations.Principal AccountabilitiesAssist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobilityMeasure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations as assignedRespond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistanceAssist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper body mechanicsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environmentReport changes in patient condition to the licensed nursing staff in a timely mannerSupport nurses and clinical staff with procedures and routine patient care tasksFollow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all timesProvide compassionate, respectful care to patients and familiesRequirements QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalentBasic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishPhysical ability to perform job duties, including standing, lifting, and assisting patientsPreferred QualificationsCompletion of a Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programCurrent Nursing Assistant certification and/or CNA license Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, rehabilitation, or clinical settingStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentFlexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbout UsAt Atlantic Health, our promise to our communities is; Anyone who enters one of our facilities will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
