Industrial Cleaner (Waste Technician)
INDUSTRIAL CLEANER (WASTE TECHNICIAN)Primary Roles and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)Change drum lids.Operation of plastic and plastic film balers.Empty TIMS drums and consolidate TIMS Waste for disposal (~25-33 empties per full drum consolidation).Sort and consolidate universal waste between containers.Minor spill cleanup.Waste/recycling segregation.Apply waste labels.Stock spill kits.Support site with Environmental Compliance and audit preparation.Performs all other related duties as assigned.Qualifications & Prior Experience:High school diploma or GED.Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and tools.Performing repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.Stoop, kneel and bend continuously to complete assignments.Standing, walking (including stairs) for a minimum of 8 hours a day.Must be able to work in non-climate control environment.May be required to working in tight spaces and be exposed to moderate to loud noise.Vision requirements: close, distance and peripheral vision.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Special Training Requirements:RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act); DOT (Department of Transportation); and HAZWOPER 40 Hour (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 40 hour course) training. Courses provided by DFM.
