Configuration Management Engineer We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management engineer assisting in Configuration Management process improvements. Position is in SBM/Service Strategy & Resource Planning Configuration Management group improving the Configuration Management process.Configuration Management is one of the IT Service Management (ITSM) practice areas, including Change, Incident, Problem, Asset, Request and Knowledge Management. The Configuration Management practice includes two areas:Enterprise/ Service Configuration Management: focuses on the inventory of objects (Configuration Items), such as applications and infrastructure elements, and the relationships between them. The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is the repository containing this inventory.Component/ Baseline Configuration Management: focuses on common security and technology attributes (or baselines) shared between classes of Configuration Items.What you are good at:Identify opportunities to create or improve processes related to Configuration ManagementExecute process improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop models and share recommendations that address strategic and process challengesEstablish and maintain dashboards and reports showing Configuration item data completenessIdentify automation opportunities and partner with CMDB/Remedy tool teamAdditional Job Details:Intake - remote opportunity, would prefer the candidate to sit out of Austin or Phoenix.
