CNC Mill Operator / Setup – Second Shift

Department: CNCReports To: CNC SupervisorShift: Second Shift (3:20 PM – 11:00 PM)Position SummaryThe CNC Mill Operator / Setup is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC milling machines in a high-mix, low-volume machining environment. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, perform setups from start to finish, and ensure parts are completed on schedule with good quality.We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, takes pride in producing quality parts, enjoys working in a team environment, and has strong communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform machine setups including work holding, fixture setup, tooling installation, and tool offset adjustmentsLocate, assemble, and verify correct tooling according to work instructions and job documentationLoad, verify, and run CNC programs; confirm correct revision level and match to process planSafely operate the CNC mill in manual and automatic modesAdjust speeds, feeds, and tooling based on material properties and tolerancesMonitor tool wear and make necessary adjustments to maintain part qualityRead and interpret part prints and technical drawings including GD&TUse inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, pin gauges, and thread gaugesComplete In-Process inspections and document results as requiredIdentify machine malfunctions and notify supervisors when neededMaintain accurate job documentation, time tracking, and quantity producedMaintain a clean and organized work environmentFollow company and OSHA safety standards, including proper machine operation and safe work practicesWork collaboratively with team members to ensure jobs are completed on schedule with good qualityPreferred Qualifications3+ years of CNC mill setup experience preferredAbility to read blueprints and basic technical drawingsExperience using precision measuring instrumentsAbility to perform setups with minimal supervisionExperience with HAAS controls preferredExperience in a job shop or high-mix environmentCompensation & BenefitsOvertime opportunity availableCompetitive pay based on experience & current skill levelBenefits package includes health, dental, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO)
