Java Technical Lead

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to join a large-scale enterprise technology organization supporting critical business applications and digital initiatives. This individual will play a key role in designing and delivering backend solutions while providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams.The ideal candidate combines deep Java development expertise with strong communication, ownership, and delivery accountability. This is an opportunity to work in a complex enterprise environment, partnering with architecture teams, business stakeholders, and distributed development teams to drive successful project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale Java applications and services.Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with architecture, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and solution design.Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Drive projects through the full software development lifecycle including planning, estimation, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.Partner with onshore and offshore development teams to ensure quality delivery and alignment with project objectives.Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring successful project execution.Serve as a bridge between business and technology teams, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.Promote development best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers and project teams.Support application modernization and enterprise technology initiatives.Requirements8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on backend Java development.Prior experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or similar leadership role.Strong expertise in Java, object-oriented design, and enterprise application development.Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance application architectures.Ability to balance technical leadership responsibilities with hands-on development work.Proven experience working within complex enterprise environments involving multiple stakeholders and distributed teams.Strong understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC processes, and Agile delivery practices.Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, ownership, and successful project execution.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.Experience collaborating with architecture teams, business leaders, project managers, and development resources.Exposure to Angular or other modern front-end technologies is a plus but not required.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
