Material HandlerLocation: Houston, TX (100% Onsite) Duration: 6 Months Contract Pay rate: $18.20 per hour on W2 Schedule: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM - Monday to FridayDescription:A Material Handler II will complete duties as needed within the department with the primary responsibility of processing customer orders for shipment.Daily contact will be with inventory personnel, materials buyers and planners, expediter, master scheduler, quality control, management staff, carriers and corporate personnel.Responsibilities:Processes customer shipments and manual shipments (B-tickets)Analyzes order HOLDs and communicates with customer serviceAnalyzes inventory availability for shipments (location & quantity)Releases sales orders to pick statusMonitors sales orders picked but not shippedMaintains shipping records per the Emerson record retention policyCoordinates freight schedulessmall package, will call, LTL and TLFollows on customer orders allocated but not picked with appropriate personnelProvides shipping documents to customer service as requested.Acts as a liaison between customer service and shipping activitiescoordinate weights & dims, shipping methods, etc.Requests/Creates commercial invoices for international shipments as neededMonitors shipping suppliesAssists with Material Handling responsibilities as neededPerforms other duties as assignedWork overtime as required
