This position is 3rd shift, 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM Monday through Friday.
Material Handler, responsible for preparing materials for upcoming jobs according to the production schedule in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Process Tech with answering alarms/troubleshooting
Prepare resins in accordance with what has been staged for each press in the warehouse per work order
Maintain part containment at press machines at all times for current production run
Verify proper material drying conditions, dryer size, temperature and time required
Provide an adequate supply of materials and monitors material use during operations to ensure uninterrupted supply
Mix materials and concentrates per work order specifications
Ensure proper blending of raw materials, regrind, additives and color at machines to meet quality criteria
Remove resins from press area to warehouse, completing necessary documentation
After job is complete, remove and clean up materials, equipment, etc. (line clearance process)
Set up and properly label gaylords for proper disposal of runners/bad parts
Weigh, log and load recyclable runners/bad parts into recycle trailer
Grind and otherwise properly dispose of excess materials
Complete necessary material handling documentation
Clean and maintain dryers, hoppers, loaders, grinders, maguires, motans, etc.
Keep work area clean as well as aisles free of material handling equipment
May assist in mold set up or transporting molds to tool room when necessary
May assist Shipping and Receiving department when approved by Supervisor
Operate molding automatic molding machines and other machines when necessary
Sort and move pallets to pallet area
Maintain forklift battery charge
Provide physical counts on materials as necessary
Verify accuracy on all work order BOMs
Participate in daily shift change activities including walk around to each press

Qualifications:
Teamwork
Communication proficiency
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Suitable written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to interact within all levels of the organization
Mechanically inclined
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Must be able to use a calculator
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
Extended hours of standing and walking; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move over 50 pounds
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with associated noises, smells and temperatures
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
Noise level is moderate
