React Developer

Job Title: UI DeveloperDuration: 08 Months ContractType: 3 days/week onsite (hybrid)Location: Rutherford, NJRole Overview:We are looking for a Senior UI Developer to design and build high-quality, scalable web applications. You will work closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to turn design requirements into polished, reusable, production-ready interfaces. The role is React-centric and offers exposure to Java/Spring backends and Gen AI-enabled applications.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS.Build reusable UI components and contribute to a shared component library and design system.Develop and integrate web components for use across applications and frameworks.Integrate front-end applications with backend services via REST APIs and JSON payloads.Collaborate with UX teams to understand design requirements, wireframes, and user flows, and translate them into intuitive interfaces.Participate in technical design discussions and make sound architectural decisions for front-end solutions.Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and take part in code reviews.Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.Mentor junior developers and promote UI engineering best practices.Required Qualifications:8+ years of overall software development experience.Minimum 2 years of hands-on React experience (mandatory).Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including modern ES6+ features.Solid command of HTML5 and CSS.Proven experience building reusable UI components.Working knowledge of web components.Experience working with JSON and integrating with backend services.Experience designing and developing web applications end to end.Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to the Java / Spring ecosystem.Experience with Spring Boot, ideally combined with Gen AI use cases (e.g., integrating LLM-powered features into applications).
