Work Environment
This is a hybrid role. Most work would be virtually. This person would work from our Administrative Building in Dallas around once a week.
Job Summary
The Project Manager 3 ensures project success. This includes completing projects on schedule, on budget, within scope, and meeting quality standards. The Project Manager 3 works with a reasonable degree of autonomy. Assignments focus on programs and projects valued highly by leadership.
Essential Functions of the Role
Defines project scope, timelines, and resources needed to meet the business goal on time. Outlines quality control measures, reporting systems, and a change management plan in project documentation. Secures an executive sponsor.
Establishes project deliverables and timeframes. Holds the project team accountable for completion. Considers both short-term and long-term goals. Establishes a clear project charter, team roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities to ensure project success. Prepares and presents the project scope document. Reaches agreement on project parameters and goals. Receives approvals at each project phase.
Negotiates with management for resources needed to complete projects. Identifies project activities, required skills, and time commitment for team members. Presents the business case, number, and types of resources needed. Explains the project approach and strategy for completion.
Manages the project lifecycle, resolves problems, and provides feedback to team members. Secures training and required tools. Initiates the project, assesses risks, establishes costs, and monitors quality for results.
Creates work breakdown structures, builds activity lists, establishes activity sequencing, builds schedules and estimates completions.
Supervises daily activities of team members effectively, timely, and professionally. Ensures project team members follow Organization and department policies and procedures.
Manages vendors and consultant partners ensuring contract compliance and expected performance.
Establishes reporting requirements and communication methods for updating all interested parties. Provides updates on project progress, costs, and successes to support milestones and stakeholder needs. Implements dashboards, reporting tools, and updates as required.
Anticipates and removes hurdles to project completion. Recommends contingencies as needed with help from senior management. Establishes risk profiles, quantifies risk data, and develops response with mitigation plans.
Closes out projects, verifying and documenting project results, prepares final reports, summarizes successes and provides recommendations for improvements.
Key Success Factors
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare or related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Project Management Certification a plus.
Aptitude for synthesizing conversations and process documentation to effectively communicate the most critical concepts required for understanding.
Ability to effectively examine data, and concisely present findings and strategies to senior leadership.
Experience in managing contending priorities and deadlines requiring interdepartmental cooperation.
Knowledge of project management principles, techniques, monitoring systems and software needed to manage multiple projects.
Ability to influence others to a particular point of view using business reason, data and experience.
Ability to create engaging content and professional presentations to multiple levels of management.
Demonstrated project management experience using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Exceptional knowledge in healthcare operations and finance.
Exceptional knowledge in healthcare financial structures and operations Experience/Skills.
Mastery of Project Management methodologies.
High emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Experience with various business applications to manage projects, scorecards, communications, etc.
Solution-oriented and demonstrates flexibility in problem solving, using collaborative techniques to identify project problems and implement solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
