Headquartered in Iowa, Mid-States Companies serve clients nationwide by fostering strong professional relationships and exceeding customer expectations.OverviewThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating all aspects of project execution, including budgets, safety, schedules, and quality. This role collaborates closely with finance, design, procurement, field operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project delivery. Project Managers may also support sales, estimating, and purchasing functions as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionDefine project scope and support general design during the estimating phaseLead pre-construction planning, coordinating with design, procurement, and field operations to allocate resources effectivelyManage daily project activities, including tracking job costs, labor hours, materials, and deliveriesMonitor project schedules and progress using project management toolsFinancial ManagementTrack all project costs and change orders in collaboration with the finance teamEnsure accurate and timely billing, including AR/AP coordinationClient & Stakeholder CommunicationBuild and maintain strong customer relationshipsConduct regular meetings with clients and internal teams to provide project updatesLead weekly project status calls with customers and internal stakeholdersAdministrative DutiesApprove purchases and project hoursReview ExakTime daily reports, including photos and work descriptionsTrack project progress and maintain accurate documentationCompliance & SafetyEnforce safety policies in accordance with OSHA, MMB, and customer requirementsCoordinate with local, county, and state agencies to secure permits and ensure complianceProject CloseoutLead project commissioning in collaboration with customers and internal teamsEnsure all operational requirements are met and formally approved by the customerQualifications RequiredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and WordExcellent communication and organizational skillsPreferred10+ years of experience in the agricultural construction industryStrong expertise in agricultural equipment and construction practicesProficient in reading and interpreting blueprintsSolid understanding of electrical systems, soil correction, and concrete workFamiliarity with equipment installation processes and engineering terminologyCore CompetenciesOwnership, Stewardship, and Tenacity Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsCollaborative team player with cross-functional coordination abilityOwnership mindset with a high-performance work ethicAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
