VP of Accounting & Finance Renewable Energy Operations & Maintenance | United StatesA rapidly growing renewable energy services company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to join its executive leadership team.The organization specializes in the operation and maintenance of utility-scale and commercial solar energy assets across the United States and is focused on supporting the long-term energy transition through safe, reliable, and high-performing clean energy services.This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced finance executive to oversee all accounting, financial, and administrative functions while helping shape the company’s strategic growth.About the RoleThe VP of Accounting & Finance will be responsible for leading the company’s financial operations, including strategic planning, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, tax, and compliance activities. The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to support business expansion, operational excellence, and financial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial PlanningSupport executive leadership in defining and executing company strategyLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecastingDevelop and implement financial and tax strategiesManage budgeting and capital planning processesOversee cash flow forecasting and reportingIdentify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and system enhancementsMonitor financial performance and implement corrective actions where necessaryOperations & LeadershipServe as a key member of the executive leadership teamLead FP&A, treasury, and tax functionsOversee transaction processing systems and financial controlsImplement operational and financial best practicesPartner with operational leaders to track KPIs, optimize costs, and support margin growthDeliver financial reporting to leadership, investors, and board stakeholdersCoordinate external legal and insurance relationshipsEnsure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirementsMaintain audit-ready financial records and reporting standardsCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will possess:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experienceMinimum 2+ years in a senior leadership capacityStrong executive communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience partnering with senior leadership teamsPrior experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or energy services sectors preferredTeam StructureDirect reports include:AP & AR staffAccountantsCorporate ControllerCurrent finance team size: 3 full-time employees.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $190,000 – $220,000Performance-based bonus potentialComprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage401(k) with company match and immediate vestingFlexible/self-managed PTO policyContinuing education and professional development supportCompensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position.
