Litigation Paralegal
A litigation firm in Chicago is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This is a hybrid position offering a salary range of $65,000–$80,000 depending on experience. This role will support attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process and play a key part in case preparation, organization, and execution. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including but not limited to medical insurance, paid time off, commuter benefits and 401(k).Responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal:Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case inception through trial and post-trial supportDraft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondenceManage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate, up to date, and easily accessibleCoordinate and manage the discovery process, including document collection, review, and productionConduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneysPrepare trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial bindersCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case updates and schedulingMaintain and track case deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure complianceQualifications for the Litigation Paralegal:2+ years of litigation paralegal experience requiredBachelor's degree preferred; alternatively, an Associate's degree combined with a paralegal certification will be considered.Experience with intellectual property (IP) matters is preferred but not requiredStrong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing processesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management softwareHigh attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentP - 13
