Join a firm that is re-architecting their technology operating model to support their future state business strategy.Our Client, a Boston based mid-sized asset manager, has an immediate need for two Full Stack Microsoft Developers to join their team on a 6+ month contract. The Client is currently in the early stages of the implementing their future state operating model. The Developer will have expertise with MS Stack and will also have a strong background in asset management.Summary of responsibilities:Work closely with the investment and applications development teams in the development of a user interface and middle-tier components for the core platform used by the generalist investment teamContribute to building financial models and analytical tools to assist with portfolio valuation, performance attribution, manager selection, liquidity and risk managementDesign, develop, test, and implement complex middle-tier business objects and user interface components in C# and ASP.NET MVCTranslate application storyboards and use cases into application functionalityAssist applications development team in resolving unexpected issues and concernsAssist in maintaining code quality, unit testing, and source control organization QUALIFICATIONS:BS/BA in a relevant field (Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science)Financial services industry experience requiredInvestment Analysis / Research of Firms, Products and StylesAsset Class Specialties; PE, HF, RE, NRAlternative Investment Strategies / AnalyticsLiquidity of Investment Cash Flows with Sources and Uses Projections and Stress Analytics / ModelsUnderlying Exposure of Investment Holdings, Strategies, Styles, Industries, Geographies, etc.Knowledge of performance attribution and portfolio valuation concepts strongly preferredStrong understanding of application architecture, patterns and best practicesKnowledge of javascript, css, and javascript frameworks, such as bootstrap, preferredKendo UI component experience preferredKnowledge of and extensive working experience with .NET Framework, specifically C# with ASP.NET MVC preferredFamiliarity with REST services, SOAP, WCF and WF preferredExperience with buildings visualizations and ad-hoc reporting tools preferredKnowledge of Relational database programming and design experience is a plus (SQL Server)Understanding of statistical concepts a plusStrong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple project assignmentsKnowledge of continuous integration and deployment a plusAbility to partner with end-users and work in a team environment #LI-JW1
