Here, you will make an impact by:Leading several cross-functional project teams to deliver capital investments greater than $10M USD from initial scoping through project completionWorking with global business partners to define project requirements and identify the most cost-effective solutions with an owner's mindsetLeading project execution to meet the stated cost and schedule objectives through development of project execution plans and owning the estimating, scheduling, and change management processesMaintaining effective communication and alignment with the project team and stakeholders throughout our stage gate processAssuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety standards to deliver robust, safe solutionsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start). IT and real estate experience is not a fit for this roleTen (10) years of combined experience in capital project management and capital project engineering roles in an industrial or manufacturing environmentFive (5) years of experience developing designs, equipment specifications, and construction packages in a private, public, government or military environmentFive (5) years of previous work experience working on projects > 10M and proactively identifying potential risk, implementing mitigation strategies, and communicating about these risk across stakeholder teamsFive (5) years of work experience with verbal and written communication and influencing leaders at the VP, SVP, and CXO levelAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical engineering degreePMP CertificationTrack record of successful project leadership in a stage gate capital deployment modelPrior experience with webline, converting, automation, chemical processing, and/or discrete part handling equipmentWork location:This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the nearest 3M location.Travel: May include up to 30% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
