Senior Relationship Manager

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a Michigan-based community financial institution in the search for a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager. This role is responsible for generating new commercial loan opportunities while managing and growing an assigned portfolio of business relationships. The position focuses on high-quality origination, relationship retention, and delivering value through loans and related credit and non-credit products. Key Responsibilities Originate new commercial loan opportunities within defined risk parameters Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of business borrowers and credit union relationships Develop new business through referrals, lead lists, and community engagement Represent the organization at business and community events Provide initial credit recommendations aligned with underwriting standards Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless origination and servicing experience Maintain strong communication with borrowers and credit union partners throughout the loan lifecycle Identify cross-sell opportunities and support long-term relationship retention Mentor and support junior lending and credit staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Formal sales or credit training required 7-10 years of commercial lending experience Strong relationship management, credit judgment, and business development skills
