BURLEBO TECHNICAL DEVELOPER Great products aren't just something you wear-they're meant to be used, relied on, and lived in. We're looking for an experienced Technical Developer with a focus on men's and youth products (athletic, lifestyle, tops, bottoms, outerwear, hard goods) to join our Austin-based team and help shape the future of our brand.You will lead the technical development of assigned styles from initial concept through production handoff. Working closely with Design, you will translate fit intent and overall aesthetic into physical proto samples, ensuring fit, construction, and BOM meet our standards for quality, performance, and cost.You will own product specifications and be responsible for maintaining all style records, BOMs, and samples. You will serve as a technical resource to cross-functional partners, providing guidance on fit and construction, and lead fit reviews at each proto stage. This role supports a collaborative, solutions-driven environment across Technical Development and our broader team.The position reports to the Product Development Manager and is based at our Austin headquarters, with relocation support available.ATTENTION: To be considered for position, YOU MUST fill out this survey. https://go.cultureindex.com/p/aMoWJXrgpWQHWhat You'll DoOwn and track proto development from start to finishEnsure all products align with established fit and guidelinesDrive consistent fit execution through clear analysis, fit corrections, visual adjustments, and use of block patternsMeasure all samples to verify fit, construction, and adherence to specsDevelop and manage graded patterns to ensure accurate fit across approved Men's and Youth size rangesSchedule and lead fit sessions with support from PDMHelp build and maintain department standards and guidelines to support consistency and operational excellenceTake assigned styles from SMS through bulk production, releasing final specs for fit, construction, and BOMWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree Tech Design, Pattern making or equivalent professional experience5-7+ years of experience in Apparel Technical Design (mostly men's) apparelKnowledge of fit, pattern making, and garment constructionStrong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes/tools/systems, including development, sourcing and manufacturing of technical productsExperience across a range of categories, including shirts, pants, shorts and layeringProficiency in Adobe IllustratorWorking knowledge of Bill of Materials, Specs and tech packs with experience in PLMExceptional organization and attention to detailHigh degree of agility and adaptability with an ability to work under pressure and to navigate change with open mindedness and flexibilityStrong communication skills and a collaborative, cross-functional mindsetSelf-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about designBenefits & PerksMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer matchPaid parental leavePaid vacation and sick timeGenerous employee discountAnnual company offsites
