The BNSF Railway Finance Department provides innovative strategic solutions and world-class financial services to support BNSF's overall performance. The department is committed to maintaining integrity and recognizing the company's successes, ensuring that BNSF remains a leader in the railway industry. Within the Finance Department, several specialized departments contribute to its overall mission: Controller, Revenue Management, Strategic Sourcing, Tax, Treasury, and Strategic Studies. Each department is vital in managing BNSF's financial health and strategic financial planning. These departments work collaboratively to secure BNSF's economic stability and support its growth and innovation within the railway industry.
This is a full-time position located in either Topeka, KS or Fort Worth, TX . For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Travel is minimal, less than 10%.
Help lead Finance efforts to design, build, test, and implement revenue systems impacted by the Transportation System Modernization and Revenue Modernization projects primarily encompassing the order to cash process from submission of Bill of Lading to settlement of accounts receivables.
Key Responsibilities include
Champion business needs and long-term strategies throughout modernization projects
Collaborate with BNSF I tech to plan and execute modernization initiatives
Serve as Product Manager by
Defining project features and deliverables
Establishing plans and prioritizing work
Leading requirements gathering and functional testing efforts
Lead organizational change management efforts across departments
Establish and execute communication and training plans
Develop and deliver timely project communications including presentations to business and BNSF I tech leadership.
Engage stakeholders, build change champion network, and effectively involve impacted people throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and manage business resources dedicated to modernization projects
Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and issues promptly
Liaise with Corporate Audit Services, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any observations.
Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
Able to work now and in the future without BNSF's assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN non-immigrant status).
Bachelor's degree (Business, Technology, Finance or Accounting preferred)
Minimum 5 years work experience in Business and/or Information Technology environment. At least 3 years of experience demonstrating leadership with people either directly (managing 3-5 direct reports) or indirectly (project teams)
Knowledge of revenue related processes and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience in conflict resolution situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Exceptional Planning and organization skills
Proficient in requirements gathering and documentation
Collaborative team player
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing system implementation test plans
Working knowledge of RAS (Revenue Accounting System) and TSS (Transportation Support System)
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience designing and executing change management plans
Proven decision-making skills
