Principal Systems Engineer We are currently recruiting for a high-growth developer and operator of next-generation, mega-scale data center campuses. They provide one of the world’s largest Cloud and AI providers with bespoke, high-density infrastructure solutions that traditional leased models simply cannot support.Position OverviewWe are seeking a strategic Principal Systems Engineer to lead long-range infrastructure forecasting for there global footprint. You will act as the architect for there physical capacity, balancing utility constraints, capital planning, and shifting AI/GPU cluster demands to ensure they stay ahead of the game.Compensation & Location:Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 + Performance Bonus.Benefits: 100% employer-covered healthcare (Medical/Dental/Vision), 401K, and unlimited PTO.Location: Remote-friendly (Preference for candidates near major US Tech Hubs in the Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, Mid-Atlantic, or Texas).Key Responsibilities:Strategic Demand Modeling: Develop 2–10 year capacity roadmaps, translating aggressive AI growth into physical requirements (Power, Space, Cooling).High-Density Infrastructure Design: Approve detailed rack elevations and floor layouts, optimize airflow, liquid cooling fill-station throughput, and weight distribution for next-gen hardware.Utility & Load Ramping: Translate long-range plans into utility-specific load ramping forecasts and lead transmission interconnect negotiations.Asset Management: Serve as the global SME for DCIM tools, ensuring 100% accuracy of physical assets and real-time power redundancy across the fleet.Financial & C-Suite Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to manage multi-billion dollar CAPEX/OPEX budgets and long-lead investment cycles.Operational Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify vulnerabilities in scale and utility availability to safeguard 100% uptime during massive expansions.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems), Data Science, or a related technical field is required.Experience: 6+ years in infrastructure capacity planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics within the hyperscale or mission-critical sectors.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of utility-scale power/cooling constraints, long-range capital planning, and high-density AI/ML compute trends.
