Production Engineer

Job DescriptionThe Well Management professional is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing well operations across drilling, completions, production, workover, and plug & abandonment (P&A) activities. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of well operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The position is primarily office-based with regular coordination with field teams and requires strong technical knowledge and operational oversight capabilities. ResponsibilitiesWell Operations OversightOversee and coordinate drilling, drill-out, production, workover, and P&A operations Ensure execution of well programs in alignment with operational plans and objectives Monitor well performance and recommend optimization strategies Track operational progress, costs, and performance metrics Planning & ExecutionDevelop and review well programs, procedures, and operational plans Coordinate scheduling and logistics for field operations Ensure readiness of equipment, materials, and personnel Support execution of intervention and remediation activities Production & Performance ManagementMonitor production data and identify opportunities for optimization Support artificial lift and well performance improvement initiatives Analyze downtime events and implement corrective actions Workover & P&A SupportPlan and oversee well interventions, recompletions, and abandonment activities Ensure proper well integrity management and regulatory compliance Coordinate with engineering and field teams for execution of workover programs Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate well records, reports, and documentation Track costs, AFE performance, and operational efficiency Provide regular updates on well status, risks, and performance Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental standards Participate in risk assessments, safety reviews, and incident investigations Promote a strong safety culture across operations Coordination & CommunicationAct as liaison between field operations, engineering, and management teams Communicate operational priorities, risks, and updates effectively Support cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational goals Skills and QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field preferred Equivalent field experience may be considered Experience5+ years of experience in oil and gas operations Direct experience in drilling, drill-outs, production, workover, and/or plug & abandonment Experience in well management, operations engineering, or field supervision Technical SkillsStrong understanding of well operations and lifecycle management Knowledge of drilling, completions, and intervention techniques Experience with production optimization and artificial lift systems Familiarity with well integrity and regulatory requirements Analytical & Problem-Solving SkillsAbility to analyze operational data and recommend improvements Strong troubleshooting and decision-making capabilities Experience managing multiple wells and priorities simultaneously Communication & CollaborationStrong communication skills across field and office teams Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and contractors Effective reporting and documentation skills Soft SkillsDetail-oriented and highly organized Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong time management and prioritization skills Additional RequirementsAbility to work a standard office schedule with occasional field coordination Familiarity with industry software (e.g., well databases, reporting systems) preferred Commitment to safety and operational excellence Job DetailsPay:$116.21/per hour Location: Midland, TX Schedule: Monday-Friday LI-SU1
