Phlebotomist I

PhlebotomistResponsible for covering all SH draw station locations (throughout lower Fairfield County) between operation hours of 6am - 6pm with rotational Saturday, Sunday and Holliday duty. Phleb Floater will also cover nursing homes and home draws as back up to road team. Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture or heel stick and collects non-blood specimens such as urine and swabs for laboratory testing from all age groups. Verify the test requisitions, data input and generate computer labels correctly and accurately before preparing specimens for transport to laboratory.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 2+ years phlebotomy experience requiredPhlebotomy Certification requiredMust have own car, as travel is required
