Restaurant Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining high-quality service across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service. Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and front-of-house activities. Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to promote a safe dining environment. Coordinate shift management, scheduling staff shifts to optimize coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to support the restaurant’s profitability goals. Facilitate staff training programs focused on food safety, culinary techniques, hospitality standards, and team development. Support special events such as banquets or catering services as needed. Qualifications Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments. Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety protocols. Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervising or assistant manager experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Ability to manage staff training & development programs effectively. Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee shift management and operational workflows efficiently. Culinary experience or fine dining background is a plus; hotel or catering experience is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling regulations and hospitality standards essential for maintaining compliance.
