Financial Analyst (Staff Accountant)

As a Corporate Financial Analyst/Staff Accountant your goal is to support assigned corporate business group(s) and the company through performance of accounting functions such as month-end closing, reporting, analysis of operations, and other financial analysis process-related activities.You Will Do This ByPerforming month-end closing which includes: calculating accrual/reserve balances and discussing calculations with management for subjective nature accounts to arrive at decision; analyzing general ledger account data for accuracy and adjusting accounts if necessary; booking various other journal entries and statistical key figures.Preparing reports and entries daily, weekly and monthly which may include but not be limited to cash, inventory, insurance, payroll, and prepaids.Reviewing detail of accounts and follows-up on month-end closing items when necessary. Prepares account reconciliations on a monthly basis for review by other members of the accounting department.Working with external auditors including providing audit workpapers as well as requested supporting documentation, walks auditors through calculations and provides data for various other detailed testing.Work with business and finance leaders in assigned areas to analyze variance from budget and forecast, as well as create the annual budget and monthly forecasts.The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.
