The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications to meet business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using Assembler and other relevant programming languages.Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe applications with other systems.Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance.Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications, ensuring they meet current business needs.Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development.Mandatory Skills:Strong knowledge and experience in Assembler programming.Proficiency in mainframe technologies, including JCL, COBOL, and DB2.Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems.Experience with debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with modern development methodologies, such as Agile or DevOps.Experience with version control systems, such as Git or Subversion.Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as C or Java.Understanding of database management systems and data modeling.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies are a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
