Payroll Manager We’re seeking an experiencedPayroll Managerto oversee all aspects of payroll operations and labor cost reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely payroll, maintaining compliance across union and non‑union populations, and continuously improving payroll processes. You’ll lead a small payroll team and collaborate closely with HR, accounting, labor coordinators, and operations.Key Responsibilities Payroll OperationsProcess weekly office payroll and support weekly union field payrollCalculate wages, salaries, bonuses, deductions, commissions, vehicle allowances, and fringe benefitsManage onboarding and offboarding for office and field employeesMaintain accurate payroll records and handle weekly payroll tax paymentsUnion & Compliance ReportingPrepare and submit monthly union reports and paymentsDevelop working knowledge of collective bargaining agreementsEnsure compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll regulationsStay current on payroll legislation and regulatory changesVehicles & MileageProcess monthly fuel usage and vehicle allowancesCompile mileage and taxable fringe benefit data for W‑2 reportingCertified Payroll / LCPTrackerRecord and maintain weekly LCPTracker dataTrain and support billing staff on utilization and certified payroll requirementsQuarterly & Annual ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file SUTA, 940/941, and state withholding reportsPrepare and distribute W‑2s and required ACA reporting (1095‑B / 1095‑C)Oversee annual union rate and burden updatesLeadership & CollaborationSupervise, train, and mentor a payroll team (2 direct reports)Develop and enhance payroll policies, procedures, and controlsPrepare payroll reports, analyze discrepancies, and resolve issuesCollaborate cross‑functionally with HR, accounting, and operationsBenefits & RetirementEnsure accurate benefit deductions and reconciliationsVerify 401(k) deferrals and profit‑sharing contributionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred5+ years of payroll processing and management experienceStrong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practicesExperience supporting union payroll strongly preferredWhy Join UsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with Safe Harbor and profit sharingPaid time off and holidaysTuition reimbursementOngoing professional development and advancement opportunities
