Packaging Validation and Characterization Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Packaging Validation and Characterization Engineer to support the validation and characterization of labeling and cartoning systems for packaging processes. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of assembly machines, automation systems, and specialized packaging equipment such as labelers and cartoners. Key Responsibilities: Lead validation and characterization efforts for packaging equipment, including labelers and cartoners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute validation plans for new and existing packaging systems. Conduct performance evaluations and troubleshooting of automated assembly machines and packaging systems. Develop, implement, and document validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for packaging equipment and processes. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in packaging validation processes. Analyze and interpret data from validation and characterization activities to make data-driven improvements. Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging equipment. Collaborate with automation and engineering teams to optimize packaging processes and enhance equipment performance. Participate in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and risk assessment activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in packaging systems, particularly with cartoners, labelers, and assembly machines. Strong understanding of automation and industrial systems related to packaging equipment. Experience in validation processes, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols. Familiarity with packaging system characterization and performance testing. Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex packaging issues. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Experience with industry regulations and standards in packaging and validation. Preferred Skills: Experience with packaging equipment in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant regulatory standards. Familiarity with statistical tools for data analysis.
