JOURNEYMAN METAL ROOFING SHOP

Job Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Metal Roofer to join our team for both shop fabrication and on-site installation projects. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in roofing, construction, and metal work. Duties Fabricate metal roofing components in the shop according to schematics and blueprints Install metal roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate fabrication and installation Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools effectively Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for roofing installation and material handling Assist with site preparation, framing, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, plumbing integration, and other related construction activities as needed Conduct quality inspections during fabrication and installation to ensure compliance with industry standards Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and accurately Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Metal Roofer with demonstrated skills in roofing installation and fabrication Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and metal fabrication techniques Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of heavy lifting procedures Familiarity with various construction trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, plumbing, restoration, remodeling, tile laying, stucco application, concrete forming, metal stud framing, drywall finishing (handyman experience), caulking techniques, welding skills Ability to read schematics and technical instructions accurately Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Valid certification or relevant licensing preferred but not mandatory This position is ideal for motivated professionals seeking to apply their skills in a dynamic construction environment while contributing to high-quality roofing projects.
