The practice emphasizes a welcoming, low-stress environment, helping patients feel at ease during every visit.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Assistant role based at Scioto Smile Studio in Powell, OH. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, organizing instruments, and assisting chairside. Daily responsibilities include setting up and breaking down operatories, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. The role involves taking and developing dental radiographs (if certified), capturing impressions, updating patient records, and reviewing pre- and post-treatment instructions with patients. The Dental Assistant will also help with scheduling support, maintaining inventory of dental supplies, and contributing to a friendly, patient-centered environment.Qualifications Clinical support skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry to effectively assist with a wide range of procedures and treatments.Strong foundation in Dental Care and Oral Care to educate patients on home care, preventive treatments, and post-procedure instructions.Knowledge of Sterilization procedures and infection control standards to maintain a safe, compliant operatory environment.Ability to prepare treatment rooms, organize instruments, and anticipate provider needs during procedures.Dental Assistant certification or equivalent training as required by Ohio regulations; radiography certification is preferred.Prior experience in a general or cosmetic dental practice is beneficial.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered and team-oriented approach.Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail and confidentiality.
