Apprentice Structured Cabling Installer

The Apprentice Structured Cabling Installer works under the observation of the Lead Installer, building basic skills and gaining additional experience and responsibilities through hands-on training. Assists with project site installation and service of Category 6, Category 6A, fiber optic cabling and other low voltage system technology infrastructure. Responsibilities: Installing field devices (modular jacks, plates, terminal blocks, patch panels, racks, cable management, etc.) Troubleshooting systems and electronics Assist in pulling low voltage cable and various wiring Installing cable in new and retrofit commercial construction environments Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks) Additional duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications: One year of electrical experience preferred Basic electrical and mechanical skills Familiar with electrical schematics and blueprints Comfortable with electrical testing equipment Ability to take direction and follow all safety protocols Must have reliable transportation as travel is required Pay: $18.00 - $34.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Work Location: On the road
