Role Description This is a contract hybrid role for a Piano Instructor located in Columbia, MD, with occasional work from home opportunities. The Piano Instructor will be responsible for teaching private and group piano lessons to students of varying skill levels, developing lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, and incorporating music theory and technique into the curriculum. The role also includes preparing students for performances, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, and collaborating with the broader Full Measure community to encourage artistic growth. Qualifications Strong skills in Piano Playing and a deep understanding of Piano EducationProficiency in Music Theory and Music EducationPassion and expertise in teaching piano to students with diverse skill levelsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and their familiesExperience in preparing students for recitals and other performance opportunitiesAbility to create a customized and engaging learning experience for each studentPrior experience in a music education setting or as a piano instructor is highly desirableDegree in Music, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience is not required but is welcome.
