NORF is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, with operations in Tyler, TX, and Miami.The OpportunityNORF Companies is seeking a Real Estate Development Intern to support real estate development, financial analysis, underwriting, and market research initiatives based in New Orleans. This internship is designed for high-performing MBA students who have completed their first year of business school and are seeking hands-on exposure to real estate investment, development strategy, financial modeling, and business analytics within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.This role is part-time to full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year.What You Will Be DoingSupport financial analysis and underwriting related to real estate development and investment opportunitiesBuild and maintain Excel-based financial models, feasibility analyses, and investment research materialsAnalyze market data, demographic trends, and competitive positioningCollaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-makingPrepare professional-quality presentations, reports, and analytical summariesGain exposure to the full real estate development lifecycle, from acquisition through executionWhat We Are Looking ForThis internship is open exclusively to MBA students who have completed their first year of graduate business studies.RequiredCurrent MBA student who has completed the first year of an MBA programStrong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (financial modeling exposure is a plus)Ability to think critically, synthesize data, and communicate insights clearlyHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProfessional demeanor with strong interpersonal skillsPreferred:Concentration in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Strategy, or related disciplinesInterest in real estate, investments, development, or private equityPrior internship, coursework, or project experience related to finance, analytics, underwriting, or strategyExperience building financial models and conducting investment analysisWhat We OfferPay at $20 per hourDirect exposure to senior leadership and real-world investment decisionsMeaningful responsibility and professional development—not busy workHands-on experience with acquisitions, underwriting, and development strategyExperience with a respected real estate development firm headquartered in New OrleansEqual Opportunity StatementNORF Companies (NORF) is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
