Opportunity:
TAYS is seeking an experienced Amazon Web Service (AWS) Developer to join our dynamic team based in Woodlawn, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to support Cloud Computing initiatives using cutting edge enterprise applications.
This position is a permanent, W2 position and consists of a hybrid schedule. The AWS Developer must reside within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD.
Minimum Qualifications:
Provide reports from AWS (SES/SNS) as needed
Assist in troubleshooting issues with connectivity to AWS SES/SNS endpoints
Assist with questions/issues pertaining to AWS SES/SNS APIs
Make necessary account changes to accommodate certain parameters (like expected throughput of email/SMS – i.e. rate per sec)
Provide updated AWS keys when rotation is needed
Possess 5+ years progressively increasing experience in cloud and systems operations, monitoring, and administration
Expertise in cloud computing – Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), Simple Notification Service (SNS), associated APIs and AWS key management
Experience with various monitoring tools including Introscope and Dynatrace
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the mainframe z/OS environment
Exhibit keen problem-determination and analysis skills to troubleshoot issues
Possess an understanding of the value of metrics
Demonstrate the ability to interpret results from various tools and develop effective reports
Configuration management experience a plus
Software development experience a plus
Knowledge and experience with SSA-specific SDLC lifecycles a plus
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Qualifications:
AWS Certifications preferred
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Active Public Trust clearance
