Biomedical Equipment Technician III (Contract)Location: Dublin, GAPosition SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team on a contract basis in Dublin, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on complex biomedical equipment and systems.Calibrate and test medical devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Collaborate with clinical staff and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues and coordinate equipment upgrades or replacements.Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment maintenance procedures and safety protocols.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including FDA, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for equipment repair and maintenance.Participate in equipment acceptance testing and validation for new acquisitions.QualificationsAssociate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, with at least 2 years at an advanced or senior level.Strong knowledge of medical device technology, including imaging, monitoring, and therapeutic equipment.Experience with calibration tools, diagnostic software, and electronic test equipment.Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, Joint Commission, and OSHA.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment.Certification such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.Work EnvironmentThis position requires working in a healthcare setting, including patient care areas, laboratories, and equipment storage rooms. The role may involve lifting moderately heavy equipment and working with electronic and mechanical devices.Contract DurationThis is a contract position with a duration to be determined based on project needs.
