Senior Sustainability Consultant [Hybrid]
Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for anexperienced Senior Sustainability Consultant. In this position, you will be responsible for helping clients meet their sustainable and healthy building goals and achieve third-party certification and verification including LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Green Globes, Guiding Principles, ENERGY STAR, and others.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership in sustainability consulting for multiple client types including Developers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors.
Demonstrate consistent subject matter expertise in building MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
Review project mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance with targeted project requirements. Provide suggested paths to meet project goals.
Guide our in-house engineering disciplines to identify opportunities to meet client sustainability goals and requirements and comply with third-party rating system requirements.
Facilitate successful project certification from start to finish for multiple rating system types including, but not limited to, LEED, WELL, Guiding Principles, Fitwel, Green Globes, and ENERGY STAR.
Develop and review specifications related to project sustainability and healthy building goals.
Prepare documentation and calculations for third-party certifications and address third-party reviewer comments.
Act as a resource both internally and externally on third-party certifications for the built environment.
Conduct construction kickoff meetings to guide contractors through their responsibilities and deliverables related to third-party certifications.
Conduct early-stage Charrettes to assist clients with establishing project sustainability and healthy building goals and objectives and define a path to compliance with third-party rating system requirements.
Work closely with our Intelligent Buildings team to coordinate sustainable/healthy building objectives with smart building technology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge ofASHRAE Standards including 90.1, 62.1, and 55.
Strong understanding of the LEED rating system and multiple other third-party rating systems for sustainable and healthy buildings.
Desire to help our clients achieve their project goals.
Prioritizes effectively, has good follow-through, and practices self-implemented quality control measures.
Communicates well in writing and verbally.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degreein Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental studies
LEED AP or WELL AP and LEED project experience required.
Five to ten (5-10) years' experience in the building design and construction industry.
EITorPEpreferred.
Fitwel Ambassador is a plus.
