Network Engineer
ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking 2 Network Engineers in Houston, TX. This role is onsite 5 days per week. The candidate will participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and ad-hoc field deployment needs. The individual must be available for onsite support at field locations and data center environments. Duties: Primary responsibility is deploying and supporting network infrastructure for new drilling pad locations; Approximately 25 upcoming Starlink deployments requiring installation, provisioning, and support Reports to IT Infrastructure leadership team Responsible for troubleshooting connectivity between Starlink, Cradlepoint, routers, switches, and firewalls Performs VLAN changes, routing modifications, and network support within data center environments Supports proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response activities No direct reportsRequirements Must be able to stand up new network equipment on short notice in field environments Strong troubleshooting skills required for intermittent connectivity and remote-site networking issues Must be comfortable working directly with field personnel and non-technical stakeholders Strong communication and stakeholder management skills required Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond rapidly to business-critical outagesTechnical Requirements Palo Alto Firewalls Cisco Routers & Switches SD-WAN deployment and administration Starlink connectivity deployment and troubleshooting Cradlepoint cellular networking devices VLAN configuration and Layer 3 routing IP addressing, subnetting, and network provisioning Circuit management and carrier coordination Network monitoring and alerting platforms LAN/WAN administration Remote site and field network deployments Network troubleshooting and root-cause analysis Device interoperability troubleshooting Firewall configuration and security best practices Network architecture design and implementation Experience deploying SD-WAN templates and network automation Strong understanding of routing protocols and enterprise networking conceptsPreferred Skills Certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, SD-WAN vendor certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience Prior Oil and Gas, industrial, utility, or remote-site networking experience highly preferred Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experience Experience with SD-WAN template automation Experience with remote site, field operations, or industrial network deployments is highly desiredInterview Process 2-3 roundsScreening Technical interview with Solutions architect End client technical InterviewThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
