CAD Technician

As an entry-level CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models. What are the core responsibilities for the role? Prioritize tasks to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers Working in Transportation Plan Production Create/Modify technical drawings of road, removal, utility, grading, drainage, erosion control, landscaping, signing, striping, signals, lighting designs, etc. Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accurately Compiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawings Ability to apply client standards to development of plan sets Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Knowledge Microstation InRoads and/or OpenRoads Manage project data files from various sources Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Associates degree or equivalent technical degree Why would a candidate want this job?
