Senior Systems Networking Engineer (Security)

**Will be reviewing TEXAS candidates only**As a growing Texas security systems integrator, we are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership across pre-sales and post-sales activities while supporting the daily operations of a growing infrastructure and engineering team. This role is responsible for leading multiple customer engagements from initial discovery and system design through installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong, and comfortable working directly with customers, sales teams, and field technicians to ensure successful project delivery. Core Responsibilities - Lead multiple concurrent customer projects from design through implementation and final hand-off - Participate in sales calls and site walks to evaluate project requirements and provide technical guidance - Develop system designs, network diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and scopes of work (SOWs) - Coordinate project timelines, schedules, and technical deliverables with internal teams and customers - Install, configure, test, and commission networking and infrastructure equipment according to best practices - Troubleshoot technical issues post-deployment and provide Tier 2/3 support as needed - Produce complete project documentation including configurations, as-built drawings, and close-out materials - Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors Leadership & Team Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians - Assist with prioritization, resource planning, and coordination across multiple projects - Support training and development of team members to improve technical capabilities - Promote a collaborative and professional work environment Technical Environment / Technologies - Networking: LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure- Hardware Platforms: Juniper, HPE (Aruba), Cisco, and enterprise networking equipment - Network Services: Firewalls, VPNs, network security, DHCP, DNS, and network monitoring tools - Wireless Technologies: Site surveys, access point deployment, RF optimization, and performance tuning - Infrastructure: Structured cabling, rack and stack, network closets, and data center environments - Systems & Tools: Network diagrams, system documentation, configuration management, and troubleshooting tools - Security Systems (Preferred): Video surveillance, access control, and integrated physical security systems - Cloud / Virtualization (Nice to Have): Microsoft Azure, VMware, or similar enterprise platforms Qualifications - 8+ years of experience deploying advanced networking or infrastructure systems - Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless networking, and system troubleshooting - Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously - Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to customers - Experience mentoring or leading technical teams preferred - Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or similar networking certifications preferred - Ability to travel to customer sites and support field deployments as required
