Job Description : Manager of Accounting - Part-time, 28 Hours WeeklyThe Accounting Manager is responsible for managing payroll processes and supporting the organization's general accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, and helps strengthen internal financial systems as Lumera continues to grow.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll ManagementOversee and process payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsManage payroll tax reporting and filingsCoordinate with Human Resources regarding employee compensation, benefits deductions, and payroll changesRespond to payroll-related inquiries from employeesAccounting & Financial OperationsManage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenanceAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesPrepare financial reports and assist with financial analysis as neededReconcile bank accounts, payroll accounts, and other balance sheet accountsEnsure accurate financial documentation and record keeping in accordance with accounting standardsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesCompliance & Process ImprovementEnsure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAssist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditorsIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controlsCollaborate with leadership to support financial decision-makingQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of accounting experienceExperience managing payroll and general accounting functionsStrong understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial informationPreferred:Experience in healthcare or behavioral health accountingExperience with payroll systems and accounting softwareKey SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHigh level of integrity and professional judgmentCollaborative and team-oriented mindsetWhy Join Lumera HealthcareOpportunity to support a mission-driven behavioral health organizationCollaborative and growing team environmentAbility to help shape financial systems in an expanding organizationMeaningful work that supports integrated mental healthcare services
