Full Stack UI Engineer
Contract Duration: 12 Months | Location: On-site – Spring, TX | Rate: $65/hr. W2
Note: Looking for only Local resources in Houston TX.
Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack UI Engineer to join a high-impact technology team building tools that support large-scale, cloud-based energy and sustainability initiatives. This role focuses on developing modern web applications that enable users to extract actionable insights from complex analytical and modeling results.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Modeling teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly applications that support and operational decision-making across a growing platform.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product managers to design, build, and enhance full stack web applications
Implement intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for modern cloud-based web platforms
Integrate and consume APIs, create automated tests, and optimize application performance across frontend and backend layers
Work with cross-functional teams to format, retrieve, and visualize complex datasets
Develop scalable, modular, and reusable code while adhering to established architectural and coding standards
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical software development experience
5+ years of professional experience in full stack, enterprise-grade software development
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks
Hands-on experience with database integrations and cloud infrastructure
Practical knowledge of reactive programmingawait, RxJS) and state management solutions
Experience developing user interfaces with complex visualizations and rich user interactions
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality work on schedule
Strong communication working collaboratively in Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building user interfaces using Next>
Experience developing JavaScript-based backends, particularly with NestJS
Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining applications in Azure
Background in building analytics or data-intensive software platforms with advanced visualization requirements
Full stack development experience with backend application design and implementation
Prior project experience with Python or data platforms leveraging ontology-based SDKs
