Dermatology Leadership OpportunityResponsible for improving Dermatology care for Optum Massachusetts patients through dynamic leadership and collaboration.Primary responsibilities include identifying cost effective best practices across the state, identify new technologies, unify patient and clinician experience, and aid in recruiting. 0.1 dedicated admin timeThe role involves:Management and delivery of high quality, patient centric and safe care.Being a key member of the clinical leadership team with a focus on both site and/or specialty clinical issues.Serving as a clinical leader interface between the Specialty Administration and physicians.Communicating with departments across Optum Massachusetts to promote understanding and alignment with the strategic goals of the organization.Overseeing implementation of organizational or initiatives at the local level.Implementing cost savings measures within department as appropriate.Driving change within the department using organizational tools.Responsible for the implementation of Care Improvement (LEAN) initiatives and principles.Serving as front line clinician leader responsible for execution of well-articulated organizational goals at local level within the department.Ensuring success of clinician impact on local level, modeling appropriate behaviors for clinicians within the group and mentoring as needed.Modeling organizational expectations of Service Excellence for clinicians within department of responsibility.Helping optimize relationships with local hospitals and community providers of care to patients.Maintaining an active practice at Optum Massachusetts as a clinical provider.Supervisory responsibilities include:Engaging staff in formulating effective working relationships within the department.Supervising a group of clinical staff and collaborating closely with other clinical and non-clinical staff.Collaborating with HR in terms of ensuring that all employees maintain and support the Code of Conduct of the larger organization.Supporting personalized career development for all clinicians in the department.Ensuring adequate clinical office and on-call coverage for the practice.Required qualifications:Licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Medical Doctor (M.D.), Board Certified.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.Preferred qualifications:Additional degree(s) in business administration, public health or clinical operations desirable.3+ years of clinical leadership experience.Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $387,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
