Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, Intervention and Support
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A valid principal, supervisor, curriculum or superintendent certificate.
At least five years of experience in Administration/Principal preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of Administration processes/routines.
Quality communication skills (verbal and written).
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for ensuring that staff members comply with the rules, safety procedures and government regulations.
Develops and evaluates annual department goals.
Ensures the evaluation of all departmental personnel.
Excellent public relations skills.
To assist the Superintendent by serving in a cabinet-level management role.
Demonstrated history of team building, leadership and administrative skills.
Exercise proactive leadership in promoting the vision and mission of the District.
Provide support to assigned departments continuous improvement objectives and strategies.
Prepare or oversee the preparation of all required reports.
Work cooperatively as a team to improve the academic gains of the district.
Assist in development of District goals and plans.
Supervise and appraise the performance of the assigned directors and other personnel.
Review assigned departments improvement plans and monitor their evaluation.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superintendent.
