Senior Accountant

Our client is a Not For Profit Healthcare Organization and is looking to add an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to their team. This role is on-site to start for the first 90 days, then will transition to 1 day remote, and eventually to 2 days remote once fully trained and up to speed. Required QualificationsActive CPA license required4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated tenure and stability in prior rolesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including multi-tab integrated workbooks, complex formulas (INDEX/MATCH, array formulas, dynamic ranges), pivot tables, and data validationStrong understanding of GAAP and not-for-profit accounting principles Experience with not-for-profit tax compliance, including preparation or review of Form 990Demonstrated history of stability and long-term commitment in prior positionsPreferred QualificationsExperience building and maintaining Excel automations using VBA macros Background in grant accounting and fund accountingExperience preparing or supporting board-level financial reportsKey ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain complex, multi-tab integrated Excel workbooks used for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reportingBuild, enhance, and maintain Excel-based automations using VBA macros to streamline recurring accounting processes and reporting workflowsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and not-for-profit accounting standardsSupport the preparation and filing of Form 990 and other not-for-profit tax filingsPerform month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrualsIdentify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes and implement solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally with program staff, development, and leadership to provide financial insights and support organizational decision-making
