JOB DESCRIPTION:Evaluate the existing Microsoft Excel-based Stream Compensatory Mitigation Accounting Calculator (SCMAC) and understand its core functionality.Research and compare alternative applications/tools to identify the most appropriate platform for the SCMAC.Partner with DSL mitigation staff to select and justify the recommended application using a defined evaluation matrix.Convert and adapt the existing Excel-based SCMAC into a user-friendly, automated application or tool.Develop accurate calculations for stream compensatory mitigation accounting units (SCMAUs) while preserving the existing formulas and logic.Ensure the solution is accessible across computers, tablets, and mobile devices without requiring specialized software.Implement automated data validation and clear error flagging to minimize incorrect or missing user inputs.Design the application to be adaptable and easily updated by DSL staff without requiring ongoing external software support.Ensure the application is robust, secure, and protected from unauthorized modification of internal formulas and calculations.Conduct beta testing with DSL staff using real project information and provide written and verbal documentation of the final solution.
