Hardware Design Engineer
Senior Hardware Design Engineer with strong expertise in motor control and power electronics to design and develop cost-effective, high-performance hardware solutions for power tools and equipment. The role involves end-to-end ownership of hardware development from concept through production, focusing on robust design, verification, manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop motor control hardware systems including power stages, control circuitry, and protection circuits.Create/Maintain schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes.Design/Update AC-DC and DC-DC power circuits.Develop/Update solutions for BLDC, PMSM, and brushed motors.Conduct motor control testing, design validation, EMI/EMC testing, and compliance checks.Help create/maintain a test setup for motor control verification.Support DFM, DFA, and DFT for manufacturing.Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.Required QualificationsBachelor's/Master's in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.8+ years of experience in hardware and motor control systems.Strong power electronics design experience.Hands-on experience in performing motor control verification in lab using custom setups.Expertise in PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD).Knowledge of BLDC/PMSM systems and EMI/EMC.Hands-on lab debugging experience.Preferred QualificationsSetup of hardware lab to test motor designs using closed loop mechanisms.Soft Skills & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving.Cost-performance optimization.Hands-on engineering mindset.Collaboration and communication.Continuous improvement focus
