Job Title Development Coordinator Reports to Deputy Director Effective Date June 1 2026 Location Virtual workplace Must be based in US East Coast High preference for Washington DC area HoursDuration Part time 15 20 hoursweek Temporary anticipated to be 6 8 months with possiblity for extension if funding is availableraised Hourly rate 25 30hour Company Summary At Planet Women fiscally sponsored by Mission Edge we combine the best elements of nature conservation with a leadership model that centers women and all who have been excluded from the environmental movement Our vision is a world where the vibrant diversity of Earths people collaborate on equal footing to care for the planet Through grants and leadership programs we resource women and organizations that protect forest water and biodiversity health and improve gender equity Job Summary The Development Coordinator will support the fundraising team by maintaining key information and records in our CRM; assist with events and logistics; support communications relate to reports proposal and social media; and provide key administrative support to help the team stay on track Supervisory Responsibilities NoneDutiesResponsibilities Donor Management Learn and enhance fundraising best practices by supporting fundraising team in creating donor strategies Record donations maintain records in systems CRM software and online digital files enter tasks in CRM and generate acknowledgement lettersEvent & Campaign Coordination Assist with the planning logistics and execution of fundraising and program events in person and online; create event surveys; assist in creating fundraising materials such as brochures online invitations and presentationsCommunications Assist with fundraising proposals and reports; draft social media posts or outreach materials Organize and manage communications calendar to ensure we are posting and sharing for important dates and news momentsAdministrative Support Organize and attend meetings record and track action items from meetings support team members and maintain digital files and records Track grants and proposals calendarRequired SkillsAbilities Strong communication verbalwritten organizational skills attention to detail ability to meet deadlines and proficiency in donor databasesAbility to be self directed and work independently in a virtual work environmentDetail oriented mindset with strong problem solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databasesFamiliarity with fundraising techniques and donor relationship managementPassion for non profit work and a commitment to the organizations missionEducation and Experience Experience Often requires 2 3 years in a nonprofit development fundraising or administrative roleEducation A bachelors degree or relevant life or work experience in communications marketing or a related field is preferredPhysical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesPlanet Women fiscally sponsored by Mission Edge San Diego is an equal opportunity employer All applications will be considered without regard to race color religion national origin gender identity age or other protected status
