School Psychologist (2026-2027)

Job Title: School PsychologistQualifications: Ed.S. or Masters + 30 in school psychology. Must hold School Psychologist II or III state certification in school psychology.Job Goal: Under limited supervision, provides a wide range of services to promote mental health, emotional/behavioral functioning, and educational progress for all students with and without disabilities; coordinates and consults with teachers, administrators, placement teams, 504 team, and student intervention teams to design interventions, develop appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations and modifications; performs related professional and administrative duties as required.Reports to: Chief Academic OfficerPerformance ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and implements, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to determine eligibility of students for special services.Communicates evaluation results to parents, teachers and administratorsConsults and collaborates with teachers, parents, administrators and outside agencies to facilitate student learning and promote social-emotional adjustment through direct or indirect intervention strategiesMakes recommendations for instructional programmingServes as an advocate for studentsProvides individual and group counseling for students as neededObserves students in school and home environmentsProvides parent and teacher consultation to address management of student progress in academics, behavior, communication, social and adaptive skillsPrepares and submits accurate and complete documentation of all assigned cases.Participates on crisis teamsProvides schools with legal and technical information related to IDEA, Section 504, and district policies and procedures related to special servicesProvides and/or assists in providing in-service training for school personnelMaintains awareness and expertise in current professional research, trends, and methodologies as they apply to school psychological services; attends trainings, conferences, workshops as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skillsReceives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from staff, parents, medical personnel and students regarding special servicesPrepares/processes evaluation reports, intervention plans, training materials, case notes, and other records for special servicesObtain records from other districts/agencies and input student data in data basesPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements: Requires light work that involves walking or standing some of the time, and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a recurring basis and/or routine keyboard operationsTerms of Employment: 210 days based on Teacher Salary Schedule plus stipendEvaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy
