The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Leader to join our commercial maintenance division. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a crew of 2-4 team members in delivering exceptional landscape maintenance services to premium commercial clients including Class A office properties, educational institutions, and municipal projects. What You'll Do Lead by example - Work alongside your crew on all landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, mulching, and spraying Ensure quality execution - Oversee daily operations to ensure work meets TJL's high standards and client expectations Manage workflows - Coordinate work orders, ensure timely completion, and communicate progress to project managers Build client relationships - Communicate professionally with clients on-site, address concerns proactively, and turn challenges into opportunities Develop your team - Coach crew members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards Problem-solve - Think on your feet to address issues quickly and keep projects moving forward Maintain equipment - Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely operated What Makes You a Great Fit Experience & Skills: Minimum 2 years of landscape maintenance experience (commercial preferred) Proven experience leading or supervising landscape crews Comprehensive knowledge of turf management, plant care, irrigation basics, and landscape equipment operation Ability to read and execute work orders and landscape specifications Basic technology proficiency for time tracking and work order management Your Qualities: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Quality-focused with attention to detail and pride in your work Natural leader who earns respect and builds team cohesion Excellent communicator who keeps everyone informed and aligned Problem-solver who stays calm under pressure Service-minded with a genuine desire to exceed client expectations Why Choose TJL for Your Career Competitive Compensation: Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience) Performance-based advancement opportunities Comprehensive Benefits: Health Insurance 401(k) Retirement Program Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Time Ongoing Training & Professional Development Career Growth Path - we promote from within!
