ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPreparing or editing purchase orders from various departmentsChecking the stock inventory to meet requirements for the Resort level of businessPlacing orders with suppliers/vendorsMaintaining a filing system within the department and updating when requiredCheck in all deliveries against PO and invoices for accuracyInteraction with suppliers/vendors noting any delays in delivery of supplies, receipt of damaged or incorrect quantity of goodsReceiving all food, beverage and general invoices against PO's using BirchstreetDeliver all orders to proper department /outletFulfill and deliver all storeroom requisitionsShipping and Receiving dutiesMust be fluent in spoken and written English in order to articulate and communicate to vendors, drivers, various departments and guestsQUALIFICATIONSAbility to multi-taskStrong knowledge of accounting proceduresAbility to work with computers and softwareGood communication skills to interact with various departments of the company, outside contacts and knowledge of the shipping/receiving processMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate pallet jackPrevious experience working in a similar hotel/resort setting preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIESLanguage Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
