Mental Health Therapist - Provisionally and Independently Licensed

Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring safety for clients and staff. Facilitate intake processes, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education specialists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling sessions, expanding access for clients with mobility or transportation challenges. Experience Proven experience in clinical counseling or mental health therapy within outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Prior experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is preferred. Familiarity with crisis management protocols and crisis intervention procedures in behavioral health environments. Experience providing telehealth services using secure digital platforms is desirable. Strong understanding of medical documentation standards under HIPAA regulations and proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records.
