Team Member, Quality
OverviewThe Quality Team Member is responsible for verifying product quality by performing parts inspections on the production line and in the warehouse. The incumbent verifies on-going conformance with established quality standards and rejects non-conforming parts for inconsistent color, function, fit, and cosmetic defects.ResponsibilitiesTo perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Module QC Stations:
Visually inspects parts for non-conformance, rejects parts with scratches or other cosmetic problems.
Verifies proper fit and functionality, ensures that all connections, hardware, and components are seated correctly.
Serves as a floater on the line to provide operator breaks.
Incoming Parts Inspection:Updates incoming parts boards and pulls paper documents for daily checks.
Performs parts inspections at various locations including warehouse, production floor, customer location, and loft.
Inspects parts for proper color and size using a specialized color match tool.
Inspects production parts using quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, go-no-go gages, etc.
Compiles documents for all non-conforming parts and report findings
Supervisory Responsibilities:NoQualifications(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Required Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Ability to multi-task in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Attention to detail.
Ability to identify and to record quality defects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Education & Experience:Quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
