Our family’s resilience and sustained growth will continue to be fostered through stewardship of family, valued employees, respected partners, and future generations.JOB STATEMENT: The Winemaking Intern supports the winemaking team through hands-on participation in all stages of wine production. This internship is designed to provide practical, educational experience in harvest activities, wine processing, and quality control. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in enology or viticulture.Essential DutiesParticipate in wine tasting at all stages throughout the winemaking process Responsible for conducting winemaking trials, including sample attainment, processing, tasting, and record keeping Monitor fermentation health and assist with data collection/ organization during harvestLead lab organization and cleanliness during peak production periodsAssist winemakers with writing work orders for all production related tasks from harvest to bottlingCollaborate with winemakers on all blends to ensure bottling requirements are met on time by supporting blend trials and any bottling preparation tasksComplete special projects or research assignments as assignedContribute to the continuous improvement of the winemaking process and proceduresParticipate in training sessions and shadow experienced winemakersComply with winery SOPs, OSHA guidelines, and safety protocolsEducation/ExperienceJOB REQUIREMENTS:Currently enrolled in university or obtained a Degree in Enology, Chemistry or other science related fieldsMust possess strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skillsAbility to conduct and manage experiments in relation to wine qualityPreferred QualificationsPrior winery, cellar, lab, or harvest experienceFamiliarity with basic winery equipment and lab proceduresFamiliarity with sensory evaluation techniques Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights up to 50 feet. repeatedly Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in wet, hot, cold, or dusty conditions Comfortable working around heavy machinery, chemicals, and confined spaces Ability to ascend and descent ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three-point contactMust be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays during harvestWork EnvironmentLimited noise levelIndoor & Outdoor climateInternship Duration & ScheduleAvailable the entirety of the internship (July- December 2026) 1St Shift 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime and additional workdays may be required during harvest season based on business needs.
